MoRTH Floats 735 Cr. Tender for Four Laning of NH-135A Segment in UP
Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) has floated a tender for the four-laning of highway connecting Jaunpur to Akbarpur in Uttar Pradesh. The estimated cost of this project has been pegged at Rs. 735.01 crore
This project includes widening of the existing 30.5 Km section of NH-135A from Jaunpur to Akbarpur. It also includes development and reconstruction of new and existing pavements and major and minor bridges. Development of road intersections, drains, and other associated works, along with operation and maintenance of the project, is also included in the scope of work. This project will be executed in Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM)*.
*Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) refers to a mode of Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) wherein the government and the private player share the project expenses in a 40:60 ratio respectively. After the private player develops the project, it is handed over to the government. The government pays a fixed annuity to the private player for a certain amount of time as defined in the contract.
