MMRDA Floats Rs. 4,882 Cr. Rolling Stock and Signalling Tender for Mumbai Metro
Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has floated a tender for the supply of rolling stock and execution of signalling works for Mumbai Metro Line 12. The tender specifies an estimated cost of Rs. 4,882 crore for executing these works.
Scope of work under the tender includes designing, manufacturing and supplying of coaches for Mumbai Metro Line 12. It also covers the execution of Communication-Based Train Control (CBTC) signalling systems, telecom networks, power supply systems, depot equipment, lifts, escalators, and other systems required for the operation of the metro corridor.
The winning bidder will also be responsible for the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) of these systems for a period of five years, following the completion of a two-year defect liability maintenance period for Mumbai Metro Line 12.
The last date for submission of bids for this tender is 25th June 2026.
Mumbai Metro Line 12 (Orange Line Extension) is a 23.57 km fully elevated corridor connecting Kalyan APMC in Thane district with Amandoot in Taloja, Navi Mumbai. The entire Mumbai Metro Line 12 project is expected to be completed by late 2027.
