MG Motor India and BPCL Partner for EV Charging Infra

MG Motor India, a subsidiary of SAIC Motor, has partnered with Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) to contribute to India’s Electric Vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. This announcement was made by MG Motor India on 25th April 2022.

MG Motor India announced a new venture ‘MG Charge’, under which the company will set up 1,000 fast AC chargers for EVs.
BPCL is in the process of setting up fast charging stations for electric vehicles, and has set a target of developing a network of about 7,000 EV charging stations in the next 2-3 years.

This partnership between MG Motor India and BPCL is aimed at encouraging the adoption of EVs, as they will jointly set up charging infrastructure in cities and along highways.
