L&T Wins Solar Power Plant Order Worth 10,000-15,000 Cr. in Middle East
Larsen & Toubro (L&T), through its Renewables business, has secured an order to construct solar power plants in the Middle East valued between Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 15,000 crore. These plants will collectively have a capacity of 3.5 GW.
L&T’s Renewables division will oversee the development of these solar power plants, including grid interconnections, establishment of pooling substations, and installation of overhead transmission lines. According to L&T’s press release dated 8th July 2024, detailed engineering and initial construction activities for the projects are set to commence soon.
Commenting on these wins, Mr S N Subrahmanyan, Chairman & Managing Director of L&T, said “The Middle East is far ahead in creating sustainable energy infrastructure and in providing a smart lifestyle. These orders are welcome additions to our green portfolio, as we build the company of the future with next-generation technologies”.
