L&T Wins Orders Worth Rs. 2,500-5,000 Cr. in T&D Business

Larsen & Toubro’s (L&T) Power Transmission & Distribution (T&D) business has secured various orders in India and overseas worth a total value between Rs. 2,500 to Rs. 5,000 crore.

These orders include laying of 400 KV and 200 KV transmission lines in Chhattisgarh to help relieve congestion in the state’s electricity transmission grid.

Outside India, the company received an order to develop a 380 KV substation with related overhead transmission lines in Saudi Arabia and 5 substations in the State of Kuwait. The company has also won substation orders in Qatar. As part of a consortium, L&T has secured an order to develop a 275 KV underground cable system in Malaysia.
