L&T Secures Orders Worth Rs. 1,000 – 2,500 Cr. in Power T&D Sector

Larsen & Toubro, a major Indian EPC player, has secured orders in India and overseas worth a total value between Rs. 1,000 crore and Rs. 2,500 crore. These orders have been won by L&T’s Power Transmission & Distribution (T&D) business.

In India, T&D business of the company has secured an order to develop Distribution Management System (DMS) for power distribution systems in central Gujarat. Scope of work in this order involves local data monitoring along with storage and retrieval of data, outage management, front-end processing, network management, dispatcher training simulation, and associated security systems. Further, the company has won an order to establish a 400 KV, 133 Km long, double circuit transmission line in Jharkhand which will evacuate power from a generating station.

The company’s Power T&D business has won an order to develop a 525 KV High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission segment in the Middle East. L&T, as a part of a consortium, has secured an order to develop 275 KV substation in the Sarawak region of Malaysia.
