Mr. Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of Railways and Commerce & Industry, on 14th February 2020 inaugurated and flagged off Phase-I of East-West Metro corridor of Kolkata Metro. The distance covered in Phase-I is 5.3 kms with 6 elevated stations. The total cost incurred is around Rs 2,431 crore.
