KEC Secures Rs. 1,050 Cr. Orders, Steps into Wind Energy Segment
KEC International Ltd. has secured Rs. 1,050 crore orders in various business segments. Among these orders, the company has secured its first order in the wind energy segment. This information was shared via a press release dated 1st January 2021.
Company’s first order in wind energy segment is for a wind project in Southern India with a capacity of over 100 MW. This project is for Balance of Plant (BoP) works, where the company will cover all infrastructure, civil, and electrical works except the supply of wind turbines.
Further, KEC has secured an order in Buildings & Factories (B&F) segment, where the company will execute the civil works for a downstream steel project. This project will be carried out in Western India for a steel company.
Additionally, for its Transmission & Distribution (T&D) business, KEC has secured orders for the supply of towers, hardware, and poles in the Americas.
The company has won orders to supply various types of cables and conductors in India and overseas markets.
Mr. Vimal Kejriwal, Managing Director (MD) & Chief Executive Officer (CEO), KEC International Ltd., highlighted that with the addition of these orders, the company’s Year-To-Date (YTD) order intake stands at approximately Rs. 19,300 crore.
