KEC Receives its Largest Solar Order, First Order for PSU Refinery Substation
KEC International stated in a press release dated 19th December 2022 that it has received its largest solar order to date, and its first order for an oil refinery Gas-Insulated Substation (GIS). Other than this, the company has received various Transmission and Distribution (T&D) orders, and the total value of the various orders is collectively Rs. 1,313 crore.
In the T&D business, KEC has secured an order to build a 220 KV GIS for a public-sector refinery project in India. The company has also won an order for laying 500 KV transmission line in Thailand.
Other than this, KEC has secured an order in Nepal to lay 132 KV transmission line and construction of associated substations.
In the solar segment, KEC International has won an order for a 500 MW solar power project in India.
Commenting on these order wins, Mr. Vimal Kejriwal, MD & CEO, KEC International Ltd., said, “We are delighted with the new order wins, especially our largest order in Solar business to build a 500 MW Solar PV power plant in India. With the substation order in T&D, we have now diversified our customer base to include non-utility clients, in addition to the current power utilities”.
