KEC International Wins Rs. 1,136 Cr. worth of New Orders in India
KEC International has won domestic orders collectively valued at Rs. 1,136 crore. The company has secured these orders in India across its Transmission & Distribution (T&D), Transportation and Oil and Gas pipelines businesses.
In its T&D business, KEC International has secured an order for laying a 765 KV transmission line for Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL). This line will be used to transmit Renewable Energy. Commenting on the T&D orders, Mr. Vimal Kejriwal, MD & CEO of KEC International said “The 765 kV order from PGCIL for evacuation of green energy has boosted our T&D order book in India”.
Under its transportation vertical, the company has secured an order for Train Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) under ‘Kavach’. ‘Kavach’ is a train collision avoidance and train safety system of the Indian Railways. “Our Transportation business has strengthened its presence in the growing TCAS segment under ‘Kavach’ to enhance the safety of Indian Railways with world-class technology”, said Mr. Kejriwal.
In Oil and Gas Pipelines segment, KEC International will be designing, supplying and constructing pipeline for a leading Indian Public Sector Unit (PSU). However, KEC has not specified the name of the said PSU. The company will also execute associated works for this project.
Post these order wins, the company’s Year-to-Date (YTD) order inflow stands at Rs. 20,600 crore.
