KEC & BNC Power Projects L1 Bidders for Nagpur Metro Electrification Contracts

KEC International Ltd. has been declared as Lowest (L1) bidder for package TR-02 and BNC Power Projects Ltd. (BNCPPL) has emerged as L1 bidder for TR-03 package of Nagpur Metro Phase 2 Project. The Nagpur Metro Phase 2 project has a total length of 43.8 Km.

Scope of work in package TR-02 includes designing, supplying, installing, testing, and commissioning of a 25 KV Overhead Electrification (OHE) system and sectioning posts. KEC International submitted a bid of Rs. 207.36 crore. Maha-Metro’s tender specified completion period of about three years and five months (180 weeks) for this project.

Work details under Package TR-03 entail installing a 33 KV cable network, auxiliary, traction and receiving substations, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system for the Nagpur Metro Phase 2 project. BNC Power Projects submitted a bid of Rs. 381 crore for this package. This project is expected to be completed in about three years and five months (180 weeks).
