Kalpataru-Gulermak JV Emerges L1 Bidder for Bhopal Metro Underground Package

Kalpataru Projects International Ltd. (KPIL) – Gulermak Joint Venture (JV) has emerged as lowest (L1) bidder for underground Package BH-04 on Bhopal Metro’s Orange Line (formerly Purple Line). The JV had submitted a bid of Rs. 768.99 crore against Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Ltd.’s (MPMRCL) specified estimated cost of Rs. 892 crore.

Scope of work in this project includes design and construction of 3.39 Km-long twin tunnels, connecting the ramp south of Sindhi Colony station to the ramp west of Aish Bagh Crossing station.

Development of two underground stations, namely, Bhopal Junction station and Nadra Bus stand, will also be included under the scope of work in this package. The JV will also execute other associated works such as drainage works, architectural finishing, and sanitary installations for this package.

This project is expected to be completed in a period of 3.5 years.
