Jainik Power Cables to Inaugurate Cable Manufacturing Plant in Sonipat

Jainik Power Cables Limited, a New Delhi-based manufacturer of power and control cables, will inaugurate its new cable manufacturing plant in Sonipat, Haryana, on 23rd January 2026. The company shared this information in its stock exchange filing dated 9th January 2026.
The company has allocated about Rs. 11 crore for the development of this plant.
Jainik Power’s New Manufacturing Plant ‘Marks an Important Milestone’
Highlighting the importance of the upcoming facility, Jainik Power Cables stated in its stock filing that the new manufacturing plant represents an important milestone in the company’s growth journey. The Sonipat facility is expected to enhance the company’s manufacturing capabilities and play a crucial role in supporting its future expansion plans.
The new plant will manufacture Low Tension (LT) Power Cables and Aerial Bunched (AB) Cables with sizes up to 150 sq. mm. The plant will have an installed production capacity of up to 12,000 tonnes of cables per annum. These products are extensively used across power distribution networks, industrial infrastructure, residential developments, and rural electrification projects.
Revenue Potential and Financial Performance of Jainik Power
Additionally, Jainik Power’s upcoming manufacturing plant in Sonipat is projected to generate additional revenue of up to Rs. 400 crore per year at optimum capacity utilisation. During the financial year FY25, the company reported a total revenue of Rs. 353.38 crore and a Profit After Tax (PAT) of Rs. 9.24 crore.
Commenting on the inauguration of the new facility, Mr. Shashank Jain, Managing Director of Jainik Power Cables Limited, said,“The inauguration of this cable manufacturing plant is a proud and important moment for Jainik Power Cables Limited… Going forward, we also plan to enter new markets by exporting our cables to African and Middle Eastern countries, expanding our global footprint”.
Rising Demand for Low Tension and Aerial Bunched Cables Drives Sector Growth
The commissioning of Jainik Power’s Sonipat plant holds significant importance, given the rising demand for LT Power Cables and Aerial Bunched Cables across India.
Demand for LT cables continues to remain strong, driven by rapid urbanisation and sustained industrial growth. Major growth drivers include housing projects, metro rail infrastructure, data centers, and the renewable energy sector. The Indian wires and cables industry is expected to witness robust growth, with a projected Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 11–13% between FY24 and FY29.
Meanwhile, demand for Aerial Bunched cables is also witnessing healthy expansion, supported by power distribution modernization initiatives, rural electrification programs, and enhanced safety requirements. The AB cable segment is estimated to grow at a CAGR ranging from approximately 7.94% to 13% during the FY2027–FY2032 period.
