The tender for 44 semi-high speed trains which was earlier scrapped by Indian Railways in August this year has been refloated.
Bid is invited for 44 three-phase propulsion engines, control and other equipment along with bogies for train sets. The revised tender has updated terms according to which at least 75% of the content has to be Indian manufactured. Companies registered in India can only apply and will have to quote in INR.
The tender will open on 17 November 2020 with pre-bid meeting scheduled on 29 September 2020.
