IGX Partners with ACME Group for Green Hydrogen & Green Ammonia Projects

Indian Gas Exchange (IGX) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ACME Group for developing Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia Projects in India. IGX’s press release stated that MoU for these projects was signed on 9th February 2024.

This partnership aims to establish a ‘physical traded market’ for green molecules within the country, initially focusing on areas with existing hydrogen and ammonia projects. This collaboration’s scope will encompass the entire value chain, from production and logistics to supply of these green molecules to industrial customers.

Commenting on this partnership, Mr. Ashwani Kumar Dudeja, Group President and Director of ACME Group, said, “We’re excited to collaborate with IGX on developing the market for green hydrogen and its derivatives in India, aiming to pioneer sustainable energy solutions and create liquid and transparent market for customers”.

Mr. Rajesh Kumar Mediratta, MD and CEO of IGX, explained that the companies will collaborate to develop innovative strategies for establishing a trading market for Green Hydrogen and its derivatives. He added that IGX will leverage its experience from its work in the natural gas sector.
