Hitachi India Appoints N. Venu as its Managing Director

Hitachi India Pvt. Ltd. (Hitachi India) has appointed Mr. N. Venu as its new Managing Director with effect from 2nd June 2025.

Mr. N. Venu completed B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from National Institute of Technology (NIT), Warangal in 1988. He then pursued a management course from Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ahmedabad in 2002. Later in 2005, he completed leadership development program from Indian School of Business. He also completed leadership development program from International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in 2008.

Hitachi India’s newly appointed MD started his career as Engineer (Operations) at GEC Alstom India in 1988 and worked there for over six years. He joined ABB India in 1995 as Manager (Sales & Marketing) and served the position for more than six years. Mr. N. Venu had worked at several important positions at ABB India including Assistant Vice President (AVP), Vice President and Senior Vice President. Later in 2009, Mr. N. Venu joined ABB Power Grids as its President & Country Head (Sales & Marketing). He worked at ABB Power Grids for more than 11 years at several key positions. Mr. N. Venu has also served as Chairman, CII, Karnataka State Council. Following this, he has been serving as Hitachi Energy’s MD and CEO – India & South Asia since October 2021.

Commenting on this appointment, Dr. Bharat Kaushal, Executive Chairman, Hitachi India, said “N Venu has been instrumental in driving and steering business at Hitachi Energy, which has witnessed expansive growth under his leadership”.
