HFCL Secures Rs. 303 Cr. of Overseas OFC Supply Orders
HFCL Ltd., an Indian manufacturer of Optical Fibre Cables (OFCs), and communication and defence equipment, has secured orders worth a total of Rs. 303.35 crore (USD 34.19 million) for supply of OFCs. This information was shared by the company in a stock filing dated 8th October 2025.
Aforementioned cable supply orders have been won through an overseas subsidiary of the company, and will be executed by April 2026. HFCL has neither clarified the name of this subsidiary nor the location where OFCs will be supplied in this order. However, the company has specified that these orders entail the supply of OFCs as per client requirements, which has been described as a ‘renowned international customer’ by HFCL.
The company had received an export order earlier in September 2025 as well, which had a value of Rs. 358 crore. In fact, the share of exports in HFCL’s total revenue has been increasing in the past few years. In FY21, exports accounted for merely 4.54% of the company’s revenue, and this share grew to 12.23% in FY25. Moreover, the company is currently in process of expanding its Intermittent Bonded Ribbon (IBR) cable manufacturing by 10 times its current capacity. This move is directed towards catering to European and American markets by the company. Thus, it is clear that HFCL seeks to expand its global footprint.
