Havells India Q2 FY-25 Financials: Revenue Up 16%, PAT Jumps 7%

Havells India Limited [NSE: HAVELLS, BOM: 517354], a major Indian manufacturer in the cable & wire and Fast Moving Electric Goods (FMEG) space, has announced its financials for Q2 of FY-25.

Havells India reported a standalone revenue of Rs. 4,532.99 crore from operations during Q2 of FY-25. The company’s Profit After Tax (PAT) stood at Rs. 272.59 crore for second quarter of FY-25.

YoY Analysis of Havells India’s Financial Performance: Q2 FY-25 vs. Q2 FY-24

On a Year-over-Year (YoY) basis, the company’s revenue from operations increased by 16.38% to Rs. 4,539.31 crore during Q2 of FY-25 from Rs. 3,900.33 crore reported for Q2 of FY-24. Further, PAT of the company stood at Rs. 267.77 crore during Q2 of FY-25 against Rs. 249.08 crore in Q2 of FY-24. This reflects a YoY growth of 7.50% in the company’s PAT.

Earnings Per Share (EPS) of the company was Rs. 4.28 during Q2 of FY-25 and Rs. 3.97 during Q2 of FY-24.
QoQ Analysis of Havells India’s Financial Figures: Q2 FY-25 vs. Q1 FY-25
On a Quarter-over-Quarter (QoQ) basis, Havells India’s revenue slumped by 21.82% from Rs. 5,806.21 crore clocked during Q1 of FY-25. Following this downward trend, the company’s PAT also fell by 34.29% QoQ from Rs. 407.51 crore PAT during Q1 of FY-25.
YoY Segment-Wise Revenue Comparison of Havells India

Switchgear: During Q2 of FY-25, the company reported Rs. 551.26 crore as revenue from its Switchgear segment against Rs. 533.59 crore earned during Q2 of FY-24. This shows a slight YoY growth of 3.31% in the company’s quarterly switchgear segment revenue.
Cables: Cables segment of the company earned a revenue of Rs. 1,805.15 crore during Q2 of FY-25, representing an increase of 22.79% YoY from Rs. 1,470.15 crore logged for Q2 of FY-24.
The company stated that the strong volume growth in the Cable segment was mainly driven by wire sales.
Lighting & Fixtures: Havells India reported a revenue of Rs. 395.07 crore from this segment for Q2 of FY-25. This reflects a meagre YoY decrease of 1.21% from Rs. 399.91 crore earned by the company during Q2 of FY-24.
Electrical Consumer Durables: The company’s revenue from this business segment jumped by 16.83% to Rs. 856.40 crore during Q2 of FY-25 from Rs. 733.06 crore during Q2 of FY-24.
Lloyd Consumer: Havells India earned a revenue of Rs. 589.59 crore from its Lloyd Consumer business segment during Q2 of FY-25, representing an YoY increase of 18.53% from Rs. 497.40 crore logged for Q2 of FY-24.
Others: This segment consists of Havells India’s other products such as motors, water pumps and purifiers. Q2 revenue from this segment grew by 28.41% from FY-24 to FY-25, increasing to Rs. 341.84 crore from Rs. 266.22 crore.
Havells India’s Share Prices 7% Down After Announcing Q2 FY-25 Financials
Havells India’s share price tumbled by 6.90% on the day of announcement of its Q2 FY-25 financial results as compared to the previous trading day. The company’s share price was Rs. 1,805.55 apiece on the day of announcement of its financials and Rs. 1,939.30 on the previous trading day.
The company’s volume of share trades jumped to 33,42,000 trades on the day of announcement against 6,53,000 trades on the previous trading day.
