Havells Announces Q4 FY-22 Results, YoY Revenue Up by 32.6%

Havells India Limited [NSE: HAVELLS, BOM: 517354], major Indian Fast Moving Electrical Goods (FMEG) company published its results for the fourth quarter of FY-22 on 4th May 2022.

Havells’ Y-o-Y Performance

Havells’ Net Revenue for the fourth quarter of FY-22 was Rs 4,417 crore, which is 32.6% higher than the Rs 3,331 crore recorded for Q4 of FY-21.
Net Profit of the company in Q4 of FY-22 rose by 16.88% to Rs 353 crore from Rs 302 crore during Q4 FY21.
Net Revenue for FY-22 was Rs 13,889 crore, which translates to a 33.18% increase from Rs 10,428 crore clocked in FY-21.

The Net Profit for FY-22 stood at Rs 1,195 crore, which is 14.9% higher than the Rs 1,040 crore Net Profit for FY-21.
Havells’ Quarter-wise Performance: Q4 FY22 vs Q3 FY22
As per the quarterly earnings report, the company’s Net Revenue from Q4 FY22 saw a 20.9% increase from the Rs 3,652 crore Net Revenue recorded for Q3 of FY-22.
Net Profit has also grown by 15.35% from Rs 306 crore for Q3 FY-22.
Segment-wise Results of Havells India and YoY Comparison

Switchgear: The Y-o-Y revenue comparison of Havells Switchgear segment shows an increase of 2.37% from Rs 463 crore reported for Q4 FY-21 to Rs 474 crore for Q4 FY-22.
In the full fiscal year, the switchgear segment recorded an increase of 22% in revenue from Rs 1,461 crore to Rs 1,786 crore.
Cable: The Cable segment of Havells India Ltd. clocked an increase of 45% in revenue from Rs 1,029 Cr during Q4 FY-21 to Rs 1,488 Cr in Q4 FY-22.
The total revenue in FY-22 from Havells’ Cable segment was Rs 4,645 crore, which is 46% higher than Rs 3,180 Cr for FY-21.
Lighting & Fixtures: Revenue from Havells’ Lighting & Fixtures Segment rose by 22% from Rs 329 crore in Q4 of FY-21 to Rs 399 crore in Q4 of FY-22.
FY-22 Revenue from this segment was Rs 1,371 crore, which is 26% higher than the Rs 1,085 crore reported for FY-21.
Electrical Consumer Durables (ECD): Havells’ ECD segment revenue increased from Rs 712 crore in Q4 FY-21 to Rs 870 crore in Q4 FY-22, showing a 22% increase.
For the full year, the ECD segment revenue of the company rose by 29% to Rs 3,067 Cr for FY22, from Rs 2,377 Cr. reported for FY-21.
Others: This segment includes the company’s other products and services like motors, pumps and water purifiers. Revenue from this segment increased from Rs 207 crore in Q4 FY-21 to Rs 226 crore in Q4 FY-22, exhibiting a 9% increase.
Lloyd: Revenue from the Lloyd brand increased from Rs 591 crore in Q4 of FY-21 to Rs 959 crore in Q4 FY-22. This is a 62% increase in revenue.
In FY-21, the revenue from this brand was Rs 1,689 crore, while in FY-22, the revenue from Lloyd was Rs 2,261 crore, having risen by 34%.
Highlights of Havells’ Q4 Financial Results for FY-22
Talking about the company’s results, Havells India Chairman and Managing Director, Mr Anil Rai Gupta said, “Sales momentum was regained in Q4 with encouraging performance across verticals. Sustained inflation impacting the margins, however, expect margins to improve with the calibrated price increase and cost optimization”.
