Hartek Power Private Limited, a part of the Hartek Group and one of India’s leading EPC companies, has secured a contract for the development of a Solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project at Challakere in Karnataka. This project entails a total development cost of Rs. 353.77 crore.

Scope of work in this order includes the design, engineering, erection, and commissioning of a 280 MW AC solar photovoltaic (PV) power project. In addition, the order comprises an 80 MW BESS with a total storage capacity of 320 MWh. Hartek Power’s responsibilities also include the supply of all associated equipment required for the execution of the project.

As part of the contract, Hartek Power will also undertake operations and maintenance activities for a period of one year following commissioning of the project.
