Goldi Solar to Invest Rs. 5,000 Crore by 2025 to Increase Module Manufacturing Capacity

Surat-headquartered Goldi Solar Pvt. Ltd. will be investing about Rs. 5,000 crore by 2025 to increase its solar module manufacturing capacity to 6 GW from the current 2.5 GW. This information was given by the company’s MD, Mr. Ishver Dholakiya on 26th September 2022, at the launch of the company’s HELOC Plus (High-Efficiency Low Carbon) solar modules.

Goldi Solar has two solar manufacturing facilities, one at Pipodara and the other in Navsari, Gujarat. The company’s investment will be towards expansion of these facilities to increase its solar module production. Goldi Solar’s expansion will be directed towards setting up solar cell manufacturing units, and the production of aluminium frames, junction boxes, etc. These upcoming cell manufacturing units are expected to be operational by Q1 of the next financial year.

This investment will also entail employment of an additional 4,500 people by Goldi Solar, which will increase the number of employees to over 5,500 people.
