GE Power India Wins Two Orders Collectively Worth 775 Cr. in MP

GE Power India Ltd., subsidiary of General Electric (GE), has secured two orders totaling Rs. 774.9 crore from Jaiprakash Power Ventures Limited, as per a company stock filing dated April 3rd, 2024.

The first order entails designing, engineering, supplying, installing and commissioning of wet-limestone based Flue Gas Desulfurization (FGD) system for Nigrie Super Thermal Power Plant in Madhya Pradesh. GE Power India will also provide Technical Field Assistance (TFA) for the FGD system. This project carries an estimated cost of Rs. 490.5 crore and is expected to be completed within 33 months.

The second order involves similar FGD works for Bina thermal power plant located in Sagar district, Madhya Pradesh. This project is valued at approximately Rs. 284.4 crore and has a completion period of 30 months.
