Finolex Cables reported a standalone revenue of Rs. 1,182.11 crore for Q3 of FY-25 and a Profit After Tax (PAT) of Rs. 123.94 crore for the same period.

YoY Comparison of Finolex’s Financials: Q3 FY-25 vs. Q3 FY-24

On Year-over-Year (YoY) basis, the company’s Q3 revenue decreased by 3.24% to Rs. 1,182.11 crore during FY-25 from Rs. 1,221.68 crore during FY-24. Finolex Cables’ Q3 FY-25 PAT slipped by 2.47% YoY to Rs. 147.25 crore from Rs. 150.98 crore PAT earned during Q3 of FY-24.

The company’s Earnings Per Share (EPS) stood at Rs. 9.63 during Q3 of FY-25 against Rs. 9.87 during Q3 of FY-24.

QoQ Results Analysis of Finolex’s Financial Performance: Q3 FY-25 vs. Q2 FY-25

On Quarter-over-Quarter (QoQ) basis, Finolex Cables’ revenue decreased by 9.88% from Rs. 1,311.72 crore, which was logged for Q2 of FY-25. However, the company’s PAT jumped by 24.90% from Rs. 117.89 crore reported during Q2 of FY-25.

Electrical Cables: In Q3 of FY-25, the company clocked Rs. 972.15 crore as its quarterly revenue from its Electrical Cables vertical, 4.78% lower than Finolex’s Electrical Cables segment revenue for Q3 of FY-24, which stood at 1,020.92 crore.

Communication Cables: The company’s Q3 revenue from this segment remained flat YoY. Finolex Cables’ revenue from Communication Cables vertical stood at Rs. 130.26 crore during both Q3 of FY-25 and Q3 of FY-24.

Copper Rods: The company’s Copper Rods business brought in Rs. 451.01 crore during Q3 of FY-25, which represents an increase of 4.07% YoY. In Q3 of FY-24, Finolex Cables registered Rs. 433.37 crore as quarterly revenue from this segment.

Others: This segment comprises Finolex Cables’ switchgear, conduit pipes and Fast Moving Electrical Goods (FMEG). Revenue from ‘Others’ segment of the company grew by 5.23% YoY to Rs. 63.02 crore in second quarter of FY-25 from Rs. 59.89 crore during Q2 of FY-24.

Finolex Cables’s Preform Plant to be Commissioned by Q1 FY-26

Finolex Cables mentioned in its press release dated 12th February 2025 that the company is expected to commence operations at its preform plant Q1 of FY-26. The factory is now in “advanced stage of completion”. The development of this plant was announced by the company in June 2023.
