Dynamic Cables Receives BIS license for Solar DC Cables

Dynamic Cables Ltd. has received Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) licence for manufacturing and testing of solar DC cables. This information was given by Dynamic Cables in its stock filing dated 28th March 2025. According to the company’s stock filing, this license is valid till 26th March 2026.

As per a report by Global Market Insights that Asia-Pacific solar cable market size was estimated at USD 1.4 billion in 2024 and it is expected to grow at a CAGR rate of 7.6% between 2025 to 2034 to reach USD 2.9 billion. The report further mentioned that solar cable market in Asia-Pacific region is mainly driven by projects in countries such as China, India, Japan, and Australia. Considering this report, the demand for solar DC cables in India is set to grow, making it an area of opportunity for Indian cable and wire manufacturers. In fact, in February 2025, India achieved 100 GW of installed solar power generation capacity, which is expected to increase to 280 GW by 2030.

Therefore, it is only natural that Dynamic Cables is entering solar DC cable manufacturing.
