Delton Cables FY23 Results: Top Line Grows 71%, Profits Shrink 25% YoY

Delton Cables Limited [BOM: 504240], Delhi-headquartered, and one of the old Indian cable manufacturers, has announced its financial results for the recently concluded 2022-23 fiscal.

For the quarter ended 31st March 2023, Delton Cables reported a revenue of Rs. 80.50 crore from operations as compared to Rs. 47.97 crore clocked during Q4 of FY-22, exhibiting a remarkable quarterly growth of 67.81% YoY.
However, the company reported a net loss of Rs. 4.33 crore for Q4 FY23. For the corresponding quarter of 2021-22 financial year, Delton had posted a profit of Rs. 2.94 crore.

Taking the entire financial year into consideration, Delton Cables earned a revenue of Rs. 272.15 crore in FY-23 as compared to Rs. 159.12 crore in FY-22. This portrays an impressive leap by 71.03% in the company’s revenue.
Despite this increase in revenue, PAT of the company showed a contracting trend, shrinking by 24.68% YoY to Rs. 0.58 crore during the year ended 31st March 2023 from Rs. 0.77 crore reported for FY-22.
EPS for Delton was Negative Rs. 5.01 in Q4 of FY-23, which is in contrast to the company’s Earnings Per Share (EPS) of Rs. 3.41 during the corresponding quarter of FY-22. For the entire FY-23, Delton’s EPS was Rs. 0.67, registering a YoY decrease of 24.72% from Rs. 0.89 in FY-22.
QoQ Comparison of Delton’s Financials: Q4 FY-23 vs. Q3 FY-23
On a Quarter-over-Quarter (QoQ) basis, Delton’s revenue from operations grew by a healthy margin of 18.92% from Rs. 67.69 crore clocked during the quarter ended 31st December 2022.
PAT of the company was Rs. 1.57 crore during the third quarter of FY23, after which Delton logged a net loss for Q4 of FY-23.
