Delhi Metro’s Pink Line has completed a full loop following the recent inauguration of Majlis Park – Maujpur Babarpur (Pink Line) corridor on 8th March 2026.

Additionally, on the same day Deepali Chowk – Majlis Park (Magenta Line) corridor was also inaugurated, and foundation stone was laid for three more new corridors under Delhi Metro’s Phase V-A expansion. These projects are valued at around Rs. 18,300 crore.

New Inaugurated Corridors to Ease Connectivity

Off the recently inaugurated corridors, Majlis Park – Maujpur Babarpur (Pink Line) corridor has a length of approximately 12.3 Km. Whereas, the new Deepali Chowk – Majlis Park corridor on Magenta Line has a length of 9.9 Km.

These new corridors are of importance as they will ease connectivity, which benefits Burari, Jagatpur-Wazirabad, Khajuri Khas, Bhajanpura, Yamuna Vihar, Madhuban Chowk, Haiderpur Badli Mor, Bhalaswa, Majlis Park, among other areas in Delhi.

Construction to Begin on Three New Corridors Under Delhi Metro Phase 5(A)

Apart from the completion of two aforementioned corridors, under Phase 5(A) of Delhi Metro, foundation stone has been laid for three new corridors stretching around 16.10 Km in length. These three new corridors under Phase 5(A) are: R.K. Ashram Marg to Indraprastha, Aerocity to Indira Gandhi (IGI) Airport Terminal 1, and Tughlakabad to Kalindi Kunj.

R.K. Ashram Marg-Indraprastha to Connect Central Vista Zone

R.K. Ashram Marg-Indraprastha corridor will cover around 9.9 Km of length. The stations will be developed at RK Ashram Marg, Shivaji Stadium, Central Secretariat, Kartavya Bhawan, India Gate, War Memorial–High Court, Baroda House, Bharat Mandapam, and Indraprastha.

Furthermore, this corridor will be an extension of the Botanical Garden–RK Ashram Marg line. This will provide metro connectivity to the currently under-development Central Vista area, easing access to key administrative and cultural zones in central Delhi.

Aerocity–IGI Airport Terminal 1: No Intermediary Stations, Seamless Airport Travel

Aerocity–IGI Airport Terminal 1 will stretch across a length of 2.263 Km, functioning as a direct extension without no intermediary stations in-between the two terminals. This will provide a seamless connection between the two terminals, a smooth travel option compared to the need for shuttle buses or multiple interchanges.

Tughlakabad–Kalindi Kunj to Link Magenta & Violet Lines

Coming to Tughlakabad–Kalindi Kunj corridor, it will span 3.9 Km length with three stations at Sarita Vihar Depot, Madanpur Khadar, and Kalindi Kunj. This will further ease connectivity between the magenta and violet lines as this corridor will provide an interchange at Kalindi Kunj. Passengers will observe improved connectivity between Noida, Faridabad, and various parts of Delhi.
