DBL & MEIL Secure Bangalore-Vijayawada Expressway’s Packages 7, 8 & 10
Dilip Buildcon Limited (DBL) and Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited (MEIL) have been declared Lowest Bidders (L1) for construction of 6 lane, access-controlled, Bengaluru Vijayawada Expressway’s packages 7, 8 and 10 under Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM)*. DBL has won package 7 and MEIL has secured packages 8 & 10.
Scope of work in package 7 includes construction of a 16 Km stretch of highway from Audireddipalle to Mallapalle. The estimated cost for construction of this project is Rs. 740.36 crore.
Scope of work in package 8 involves construction of a 20 Km span of highway from Mallapalle to Kavulakuntla. Approximate cost for the development of this package is Rs. 646.20 crore. Package 10 of involves construction of a 24.5 Km stretch of highway from Narayanmpet to Chandrasekharpuram at an estimated cost of Rs. 574.41 crore.
Completion period of these packages is 2 years. This project will be executed under Bharatmala Pariyojana (BMP).
*Hybrid Annuity Model (HAM) refers to a mode of Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) wherein the government and the private player share the project expenses in a 40:60 ratio respectively. After the private player develops the project, it is handed over to the government. The government pays a fixed annuity to the private player for a certain amount of time as defined in the contract.
