Ceigall India is L1 Bidder for Bhubaneswar Metro’s Ph 1 Project

Ceigall India Ltd. (CIL) has emerged as Lowest (L1) bidder for executing construction works for package BBC-05 under Bhubaneswar metro’s phase 1 project. This section will be 10.97 Km in length. The company had bid Rs. 899 crore for this project against Delhi Metro Rail Corporation’s (DMRC) estimation of Rs. 869.71 crore.

Scope of work in this project includes design and construction of an elevated viaduct and six elevated stations. These stations will be constructed at Nandan Vihar, Raghunathpur, Nandankanan Zoological Park, Barang Station, Phulapokhari, and Trisulia Square. These stations will be constructed from Chainage (Ch.) 15017.00 m to Ch. 25987.78 m of the Bhubaneswar Metro Phase-I Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS).

DMRC had invited bids for this tender in March 2024 with a completion period of 36 months. Earlier in March 2024, Ceigall India had won two metro orders collectively worth Rs. 694.05 crore, which marked the company’s entry into the metro rail segment.
