Bajaj Electricals to Acquire Morphy Richards IP & Brand Rights

Bajaj Electricals board has given its approval for the acquisition of intellectual property rights and brand rights for Morphy Richards for Rs. 146 crore, as disclosed in its stock exchange filing dated 23rd September 2025. The company will thereafter gain full ownership of the brand across Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, the Maldives, and Sri Lanka.

Bajaj Electricals will purchase these rights from Ireland-based Glen Electric Limited, part of the Glen Dimplex Group. Under the Morphy Richards brand, Bajaj Electricals already offers a premium range of Fast Moving Electrical Goods (FMEG), including mixers, ovens, toaster grills, coffee makers, air fryers, and garment steamers. The company also operates in the female grooming segment, with products such as hot air brushes, hair straighteners, and hair dryers. During FY25, revenue from Morphy Richards products grew by 24% Year-over-Year, “…with consistent positive performance in both offline and online channels”, as per Bajaj Electricals’ FY25 annual report.

Globally, the Morphy Richards brand is present in 26 countries and features a diverse portfolio spanning kitchen appliances, garment care, and floor care products.
