Key Development in India’s Robot Manufacturing Space
As per Frankfurt-headquartered International Federation of Robotics (IFR) release dated 3rd May 2023, India’s current number of deployed industrial robots across industries has been growing at an annual average of 16% since 2016. Further, from 2020 to 2021, there was a jump of 54% in the number of installed industrial robots in India to 4,945 units. The automotive, metals, plastics, and electrical sectors remain the prime areas where these robots have been deployed.
Earlier, in 2021, Addverb had operationalised its first robotics manufacturing unit in Noida which was named ‘Bot Valley’. This unit has the capacity to produce about 50,000 robots annually.
Therefore, with the launch of ‘Bot-Verse’, Addverb is poised to support not just India’s, but growing global demand for industrial robots through domestic production.
