Adani to Set up Three Giga Factories as part of $70 Billion Green Energy Plan
Mr. Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, announced that three Giga factories will be set up in India as part of the group’s USD 70 billion commitment to the green energy sector. The announcement was made at the US India Business Council (USIBC) conclave, which was held on 7th September 2022 in New Delhi.
These Giga factories will cover diverse operations pertaining to the green energy sector, including polycrystalline solar cell, solar module, wind turbine and Green Hydrogen electrolyser manufacturing.
“We will generate an additional 45 GW of renewable energy to add to our existing 20 GW capacity, as well as 3 million tons of hydrogen – all of which will be completed before 2030”, said Mr. Adani. He also stressed the need for India-US collaboration in the sector.
