Adani Group Takes Charge of Guwahati Airport

Adani Group takes charge of operations, management and development responsibilities of northeast India’s biggest airport Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport in Guwahati.

In 2018, the Government of India had decided to privatize the operation, management, and development (OMD) of six airports namely Guwahati, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Mangalore, Jaipur and Thiruvananthapuram for a period of 50 years.

Adani Enterprise emerged as the successful bidder for all six airports and in January 2019. Airports Authority of India (AAI) and Adani Enterprise had inked the concession agreement.
