ABB India Launches Digital Panel Meters for Energy Monitoring

ABB India, the engineering and industrial equipment manufacturer, has launched a new series of electric measuring and power monitoring meters for electrical and control panels.
The new meters launched are part of ABB’s M1M series which includes models M1M11, M1MDS, M1M20B and M1M30B.
ABB M1M Series meters for Power Quality Analysis and Energy Assets Monitoring
ABB India stated that the newly launched M1M meters provide power quality analysis and monitor the energy assets for residential, industrial, and commercial buildings. They can be installed in electrical panels for submetering inside of Power Control Centres (PCCs), Motor Control Centres(MCCs), sub-distribution switchboards etc. of buildings.
Expressing his views on the launch, Mr. Kiran Dutt, President-Electrification at ABB India said “The emerging Panel meter market and our introduction of new range of meters offers a huge potential for customers to better manage energy performance across industries”.
Function and Specifications of ABB’s M1M11, M1MDS, M1M20B and M1M30B
All the newly launched ABB meters come with an LED 8-digital segment screen. The voltage measurement for all these meters is 80-550V AC. The distinguishing features and functions are:
- M1M11 is a digital KWH meter which measures energy consumption in single-phase and three-phase power connections. It offers 64 samples per cycle.
- M1MDS is a Dual Source multifunction meter. Dual source meters display the currently active power source but can be switched to show the alternate power source.
- M1M20B and M1M30B, two other new products launched in the range, are used for power quality analysis applications. M1M20B displays basic power quality parameters whereas M1M30B can be used for applications where detailed power quality analysis is required.
