AAI Issues Consultancy Tender for Great Nicobar Greenfield Airport
Airport Authority of India (AAI) has invited bids for Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services for Greenfield Airport at Great Nicobar Island in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands. This airport project will be developed at an estimated cost of Rs. 8,573 crore
These services include supervision of works during the execution stage, including project monitoring, quality control, day-to-day supervision, billing, coordination, and clarifications during the performance of the contract, along with site visits during the construction of the airport. This airport will be constructed over a period of 48 months, after which the winning bidder will be responsible for a Defect Liability Period (DLP) of 84 months. The proposed airport will be a greenfield international airport located at Campbell Bay.
Last date to submit bids for this tender is 26th December 2025.
The Great Nicobar airport project forms part of a larger Rs. 92,000 crore development plan for Great Nicobar Island, which includes a trans-shipment port, a township, and a power plant. These facilities are planned to be developed across more than 160 sq. Km. of land.
