Crompton Greaves to Set Up ₹375 Cr Greenfield Plant in Hyderabad
Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd, a Fast Moving Electrical Goods (FMEG) manufacturer, is set to establish a greenfield manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, Telangana. This facility will be developed with an investment Rs. 375 crore.
Annual Sales of ₹4,670 crore Expected from Hyderabad Plant
Crompton Greaves will build the Hyderabad facility in two phases. According to company’s Q1 FY27 investor presentation, Phase-1 will likely to begin production in Q1 FY29 and Phase-2 is expected to be completed by Q1 FY30. Moreover, the Hyderabad facility’s annual turnover is expected to reach Rs. 4,670 crore by FY30-31.
Expanding Fans, Kitchen Appliances, Motors & Electronics Components
Phase-1 the focus will be on manufacturing of induction fans, BLDC (Brushless Direct Current) ceiling fans, table and pedestal fans. Once the project reaches completion the facility will have an annual capacity of 1.4 crore fan units.
Crompton, in Phase-2 will focus on production of water pumps, mixer grinders, alongside setting up a centralized motor plant. In addition, this phase also includes plan for in-house BLDC motors manufacturing and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) assembly.
Addition of centralized motors and BLDC motors manufacturing and PCB assembly will augment company’s backward integration for motor controllers and electronic sub assemblies.
Crompton Expected to Break Ground on 20th October 2026
Telangana government has alloted 50 acres of land to Crompton in E-City, Maheshwaram near Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Hyderabad. The company is expected to perform groundbreaking ceremony around Vijayadashami, which falls on 20th October 2026.
The company currently holds 8 manufacturing facilities across India, located in Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Mumbai. These facilities manufacture a variety of products such as domestic fans, LED lighting systems, Kitchen Appliances, and agricultural, domestic & industrial water pumps.
