Voltamp to Commission New Transformer Plant by June 2026

Voltamp Transformers Limited has targeted to commission its under-construction transformer manufacturing plant at Jarod in Vadodara district of Gujarat by June 2026. As of 8th November 2025, the company had incurred Rs. 82.82 crore of capital expenditure on the project, out of the total planned investment of Rs. 200 crore in this plant. The plant is being funded through Voltamp’s internal accruals.

Voltamp had announced this plant in February 2025, and it will have an annual manufacturing capacity of around 6,000 MVA of power transformers. This new factory will produce power transformers of up to 250 MVA individual capacity. This will add to the company’s existing annual manufacturing capacity of 14,000 MVA.

According to the company, the outlook for transformer demand remains strong in the medium term. Several major industry players continue to maintain healthy order books from power utilities and have announced expansion and capital expenditure plans to scale up production capacities for both power and distribution transformers over the next few years. During FY26 so far, Voltamp booked new orders worth Rs.1,377 crore.
