Vishal Dewan New Marketing & Sales Head of Hitachi Energy India

Mr. Vishal Dewan has been appointed as Head of Marketing & Sales at Hitachi Energy India Limited. This information was shared by the company in its stock filing dated 20th August 2025.

Mr. Dewan holds B.E degree in Instrumentation and Controls from College of Engineering, Pravaranagar, Pune University, which he earned in 1991. He has also completed short Executive Management programs from Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bangalore and IIM Ahmedabad.

Hitachi Energy India’s new Marketing & Sales Head brings with him over 33 years of professional experience. He began his career in 1991 with Reliance Industries Limited as Deputy Manager (Instrumentation), a role he held for over six years. He then joined Owens Corning as Leader (Instrumentation), where he worked for almost 3 years.

After short stints with KMD IT Services Pvt. Ltd. and the Dehradun Institute of Technology, Mr. Dewan joined ABB in 2004 as Manager (Process Automation Oil, Gas & Petrochemicals), a position he held for over four years. In 2008, he was promoted to Assistant Vice President (Process Automation Oil, Gas & Petrochemicals), serving in this capacity until 2013. He then rose through the company’s ranks, becoming Vice President in 2013, Division Sales Director (Power Grids) in 2017, and Country Managing Director in 2020. Therefore, Mr. Dewan served ABB in different capacities for over 16 years.

Before being appointed as Head of Marketing & Sales at Hitachi Energy India, Mr. Dewan was serving as Hitachi Energy Malaysia’s Country Manager.
