HFCL wins Rs. 157 Cr. OFC Supply Order for BharatNet in West Bengal

HFCL Limited has won an order worth Rs. 157 crore for BharatNet Phase III Project in the West Bengal telecom circle. The company has secured this order from Tera Software Limited.

Tera Software Ltd. is executing BharatNet project in West Bengal in a consortium with ITI Limited.

As per this order, HFCL will be supplying various types of Optical Fibre Cables for BharatNet Phase III project in West Bengal telecom circle. The company will supply these cables within a period of three years.

ITI Limited had secured works under package 9 of BharatNet phase III in December 2024. This package entailed laying of middle mile network in West Bengal, Sikkim and Andaman and Nicobar.

In its third phase, the project targets to bring high-speed internet to India’s remote and rural regions by linking 2,50,000 gram panchayats, each guaranteed a minimum bandwidth of 100 Mbps.
