TRIL’s Q2 FY-25 Financial Results: Revenue up 80%, PAT Grows 24.29 Times YoY

Transformers & Rectifiers (India) Ltd. (TRIL) [NSE: TRIL, BOM: 532928], a company based in Gujarat specializing in transformer manufacturing, has announced its financial results for Q2 of FY-25.

TRIL reported a standalone revenue of Rs. 445.93 crore for Q2 of FY-25 and a Profit After Tax (PAT) of Rs. 42.10 crore for Q2 of FY-25.

TRIL’s revenue rose by 79.55%% YoY to Rs. 461.54 crore during Q2 of FY-25 from Rs. 257.06 crore earned in Q2 of FY-24. Q2 FY-25 PAT of the company jumped to Rs. 45.91 crore which is 24.29 times the company’s Q2 FY-24 PAT of Rs. 1.89 crore.
TRIL’s Earnings Per Share also grew to Rs. 3.04 during Q2 of FY-25 from Rs. 0.12 during Q2 of FY-24.

QoQ Analysis of TRIL’s Financial Numbers: Q2 FY-25 vs. Q1 FY-25
TRIL’s revenue increased QoQ by 43.34% from Rs. 322 crore clocked for Q1 of FY-25. Further, the company’s Q2 FY-25 PAT was 2.20 times of its Q1 FY-25 PAT, which stood at Rs. 20.83 crore.
Transformers & Rectifiers’ Future Plans
During the company’s earnings call for its Q2 FY-25 financials, Mr. Jitendra Mamtora, Chairman of TRIL, said that the company is expanding its transformer manufacturing capacity by 15,000 MVA. According to Mr. Mamtora this capacity addition will be completed by January 2025. Additionally, the company has started trial run for its fully automated radiator manufacturing facility. Mr. Mamtora also mentioned that the first phase of TRIL’s upcoming fabrication unit will be operational from March 2025.
TRIL Reports Impressive Order Book and Order Inflow During Q2 of FY-25
Transformers & Rectifiers (India) mentioned in its investor presentation that the company reported an order book of Rs. 3,500 crore as on Q2 of FY-25 and an order inflow of Rs. 1,031 crore during the quarter. As for the product mix in the company’s un-executed order book, 65% of these orders are for power transformers, 29% of the orders are for reactors, whereas the remaining 6% are orders for special duty transformers. By customer type, the largest share of orders in TRIL’s unexecuted order book is from central utilities which constitutes 46%, industrial customers constitute 43% of the unexecuted orders, and the remaining 11% of the orders are from various state utilities.
