L&T Wins T&D Orders Worth Rs. 2,500 to Rs. 5,000 Cr. in India & Abroad
In a press release dated 29th July 2024, Larsen & Toubro (L&T) mentioned that its Transmission & Distribution (T&D) business has won orders in India and abroad. These orders, valued between Rs. 2,500 to Rs. 5,000 crore, are for establishing substations and laying of transmission lines.
In India, L&T’s Transmission & Distribution business has won orders for laying two 765 KV Double Circuit transmission lines. These lines will be used for evacuating power from Jaisalmer/Barmer Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) to Madhya Pradesh’s substations.
In Saudi Arabia, L&T has secured orders for establishing a 380 KV substation and 380 KV overhead transmission line segments through its T&D business. Further, the company has won orders for constructing a 220 KV substation and three 132 KV substations in the UAE. L&T mentioned that these orders in the UAE will help with the ‘increasing electricity demand in Dubai and Abu Dhabi’.
