11th Edition of India Rubber Expo 2024 Witnesses over 40,000 Visitors

India Rubber Expo’s (IRExpo) 11th Edition was held from 20th to 22nd March 2024 at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon, Mumbai. This expo was organised by All India Rubber Industries Association, and the event has been touted as ‘Asia’s Largest Rubber Exhibition’ as per the official website of the event.

Eminent Rubber Players Sponsor India Rubber Expo 2024

India Rubber Expo 2024 had Reliance Industries’ rubber unit, Relflex Elastomers, as its main sponsor. Additionally, US-based Parker’s LORD division and Mumbai-headquartered Zenith Industrial Rubber Products were two major sponsors of the event. In total, the event had 41 sponsors, such as B.P Chemicals, Bharaj Rubber Processing Machinery, JG Chemicals, Apcotex, ARLANXEO, Finorchem, Flexilis, and more. Further, the Indian Rubber Materials Research Institute (IRMRI) was the Knowledge Partner for the event.

ARLANXEO Showcases Sustainable Rubber Solutions at India Rubber Expo 2024

ARLANXEO presented its KELTAN product range at IRExpo 2024, and highlighted the recently introduced KELTAN ISCC PLUS bio-circular products. KELTAN is ARLANXEO’s Ethylene Propylene Diene Rubber range, which has numerous applications such as in window gaskets, wires, roof sheeting, automotive sealing systems, and more.

Further, ARLANXEO’s stall at IRExpo 2024 displayed its offerings for tyre solutions such as Solution-Styrene Butadiene Rubbers (S-SBR), Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (NBR), and Regular and Halogenated Butyl Rubbers (X)IIR.

The company further displayed its Therban range of Hydrogenated Nitrile Butadiene Rubber (HNBR) at the IRExpo 2024, which offers high temperatute and oil resistance, and is therefore instrumental for use in air conditioning seals and engine timing belts.

Fornnax Launches SR-200 HD Dual-Shaft Primary Shredder

Fornnax Technology Pvt. Ltd., an Ahmedabad-headquarterd recycling machinery manufacturer, introduced its new dual-shaft primary shredder, SR-200 at IRExpo 2024. The SR-200 HD is a pre-shredder, which can be used to handle unsorted, contaminated waste streams, as a first step in multi-stage waste processing systems.

This latest addition to Fornnax’s SR series can generate up to 2,000,00 Nm of torque with its slow-speed shafts, and can shred waste materials such as wood pallets, municipal solid waste, and a variety of industrial waste.

Fornnax also announced its investment of Rs. 100 crore in setting up a new tyre-recycling site. Speaking at the expo, Mr. Jignesh Kundaria, Managing Director, Fornnax Technology, said, We have acquired 23 acre plot in Ahmedabad for the upcoming facility, which is going to be one of the biggest tyre recycling site in the world.

Penguin Engineers Displays Hose-Making Machines for Customised Rubber Hoses

Tamil Nadu-based Penguin Engineers, a manufacturer and exporter of packaging and rubber hose-making machines, showcased its offerings at the India Rubber Expo 2024. Penguin Engineers manufactures hose wrap/unwrapping systems, braiding machines for wire and yarn, wire-winding machines, hose knitting machines, extruder caterpillar, hose building machines, and more.

Knowledge Exchange and Domestic RBSM Held at IRExpo 2024

Apart from the expansive exhibition, India Rubber Expo 2024 showcased a knowledge exchange event on day 2 of the event. During the knowledge exchange, Indian rubber industry stalwarts discussed innovations and shared insights on themes such as sustainable manufacturing practices and technological advancements in the field.

Moreover, a domestic Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet (RBSM) was held at the IRExpo 2024, which brought together Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and government bodies. Officials from government bodies such as the Indian Railways, Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Indian Navy, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) were a part of the RBSM, along with representatives from the Indian rubber sector companies as well as from MNCs.
