Voltas Launches Flo Series Range of BLDC Fans
Voltas Ltd., a Tata Group-owned company and manufacturer of Fast Moving Electrical Goods (FMEG), has launched its new range of ceiling fans. These Brush-less Direct Current (BLDC) fans have been launched under Voltas’ new ‘Flo Series’.
Key Features of Voltas Flo Series Fans
Energy Efficient Design
Voltas’ Flo Series fans are designed to be energy efficient. These fans feature 5 star rating from Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE). With Voltas’ 35 Watt EcoBolt BLDC motor at their core, these fans offer a top speed of 350 RPM.
These fans can be operated with a remote which offers timer settings. This feature furthers the product’s energy efficiency. The timer has 4 pre-defined preset modes, after which the fan switches off automatically.
Protection Against High Power Surge
Voltas’ Flo Series fans offer electronic controllers which are designed to handle high power surge of upto 8 KVA. This feature helps protect the fan’s BLDC motor against abrupt fluctuations in the power supply, thereby minimising chances of malfunctioning or damage.
Aerodynamic Design with Anti-Dust Coating
Flo Series fans feature a body made out of ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene), which is a kind of thermoplastic. As per the company, other than being aesthetically pleasing, the aerodynamic design of Flo Series fans enables silent operation. Apart from this, these fans feature an anti-dust coating.
BLDC Fans Need of the Hour – Voltas MD (Designate)
Speaking about the launch of Voltas’ Flo Series fans, Mr. Mukundan Menon, the company’s Managing Director (Designate), said, “With rising consumer insights for energy savings, BLDC technology is the need of the hour”. He added that the launch of Flo Series signifies Voltas’ focus on expanding its product offerings to cater evolving needs of their customers. “With the launch of Flo Series, the fan category is a logical step for our business in terms of growth and innovation”, he said.
Voltas mentioned in its release that its Flo Series BLDC fans will be made available in selected stores of the company from July 2025, and will be available in retail stores across India ‘in few weeks’.
