US-Based Chevron to Set-Up Innovation Centre in Bengaluru Worth USD 1 Bn
Chevron Corporation, a energy solutions company headquartered in US, will be investing about USD 1 billion to set-up its Engineering and Innovation Excellence Centre (ENGINE) in Bengaluru. This information was shared by the company in its press release dated 21st August 2024.
Mr. Akshay Sahni, soon-to-be Country Head of Chevron India, mentioned that the centre will create various job opportunities for local professionals. Chevron’s upcoming Engineering and Innovation Excellence Centre targets to explore ways to address current global energy demands and contribute to transition towards lower-carbon energy solutions. Further, in its release, Chevron mentioned that about 600 people will be made by Chevron India by the end of 2025.
Commenting on this development, Mr. Sahni said “Chevron ENGINE allows us to bring together India’s vast pool of exceptional talent with resources and expertise from our global network to deliver affordable, reliable, and ever-cleaner energy for a growing world”.
Chevron was established in 1879 in California, US. The company is involved in production of crude oil and natural gas, and also offers transportation fuels, lubricants, petrochemicals, and additives.
