UltraTech to Invest Rs. 10,000 Crore in FY26 for Capacity Expansion
UltraTech Cement Limited has earmarked a Capital Expenditure (CapEx) of Rs. 10,000 crore for FY26 to expand its existing production capacity.
With the aforementioned investment, the company targets to add 28.8 Million Metric Tonnes Per Annum (MMTPA) of cement production capacity by FY27. While UltraTech has not disclosed specific details on how this expansion will be executed, it is expected to be a mix of brownfield projects, greenfield projects, and acquisitions. Notably, in July 2024, UltraTech Cement acquired a 23% stake in The India Cements Limited.
In addition to its cement capacity expansion, UltraTech is also setting up a wire and cable manufacturing plant in Bharuch, Gujarat, with an investment of Rs. 1,800 crore. The plant is expected to be commissioned by December 2026. This upcoming plant will manufacture 30 to 40 lakh Km of wires and cables.
