Tata Steel is India’s First Steel Maker to Install Blast Furnace Carbon Capture Plant
India’s first Carbon capture plant for a blast furnace has been successfully designed and commissioned in Tata’s Jamshedpur Steel plant by Carbon Clean Solutions Ltd., a UK-based Carbon dDioxide capture-and-separation technology company.
This Carbon capture plant will have a capacity of 5 tonnes of CO2 per day. It is a modular skid-mounted unit that captures CO2 directly from blast furnace gas and makes it available for onsite reuse in a variety of applications inside the plant.
