Tata Power Renewable Energy Wins its Largest RE Order in Maharashtra

Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for developing a 400 MW wind-solar hybrid power project in Maharashtra. This information was shared by Tata Power in its press release dated 18th September 2024.

The company mentioned in its press release “The LoA includes an original contracted capacity of 200 MW, along with a greenshoe option for an additional contracted capacity of 200 MW, making this the largest renewable energy project in state of Maharashtra till date for TPREL”.

This project is expected to be completed within a period of 24 months from signing the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with MSEDCL. With this order win, TPREL’s total renewable energy capacity now stands at 10.5 GW with 5.7 GW of projects in various stages of implementation. The company’s operational 4.8 GW RE generation capacity comprises 3.8 GW of solar power projects and 1 GW of wind energy projects.
