Suzlon Secures 193 MW Wind Power Project from KP Group

Suzlon Group has secured a contract from KP group to develop a 193.2 MW wind power project at Bharuch district of Gujarat.

Scope of work in this project for Suzlon includes the supply of 92 units of their S120 Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs). Each WTG has a capacity of 2.1 MW and will be supplied with a 140 m Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower. Suzlon will be responsible for supervision and commissioning of the project and will also provide Operation and Maintenance (O&M) services after the project begins operations.

*A Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower is used to mount wind turbine generator to the desired height. It consists of three components, namely a lattice tower, a transition piece, and a tubular tower. The lattice tower is assembled on-site by welding steel profiles just above the foundation of the HLT tower, while the tubular tower forms the top part of the HLT tower. These two sections of the HLT tower are connected by means of a transition piece.
