Suzlon Secures 180.6 MW Wind Energy Order in Karnataka from Sembcorp
In a press release dated 6th September 2022, Suzlon Group announced that it has secured an order from Green Infra Wind Energy Limited, a subsidiary of Singapore’s Sembcorp, to develop a 180.6 MW wind project in Kanakagiribad, Bagalkot, Karnataka.
Scope of work for Suzlon in this order entails the supply of 86 Wind Turbine Generators. These generators will each be mounted on Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) towers, which increase the hub height of the turbine. Each of these generators will be capable of generating 2.1 MW of power.
Suzlon will not only be supplying these turbines but will also be setting up the project, including its erection and commissioning. Post commissioning, the company will also provide Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services for this project.
This project is expected to be commissioned by 2024.
