Suzlon Energy Secures 100.8 MW Wind Energy Project from Everrenew Energy

Suzlon Energy Ltd. has secured a project from Everrenew Energy Private Limited to develop a wind power project of 100.8 MW capacity. This project will be developed in Velliyanani Phase II and in Vengaimandalam, Tamil Nadu.

Scope of work for Suzlon includes supplying, installing, and commissioning of 48 Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs), each of 2.1 MW capacity. Each of these WTGs will be supplied with a Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT)*. This upcoming project is expected to be commissioned by March 2024.

*A Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower is used to mount wind turbine generator to the desired height. It consists of three components, namely a lattice tower, transition piece, and the tubular tower. The lattice tower is assembled on-site by welding steel profiles just above the foundation of the HLT tower, while the tubular tower forms the top part of the HLT tower. These two sections of the HLT tower are connected by means of a transition piece.
