During Q2 of FY-25, Sterlite Technologies’ revenue decreased by 5.42% YoY to Rs. 1,413 crore from Rs. 1,494 crore revenue earned for Q2 of FY-24. The company reported a loss of Rs. 14 crore during Q2 of FY-25 against profit of Rs. 32 crore in Q2 FY-24.

Optical Networking Business: Sterlite Technologies’ Optical Networking division focuses on design and production of optical fiber, optical fiber cables, and optical interconnect products.

This segment of the company brought in Rs. 1,027 crore during Q2 of FY-25 and Rs. 1,084 crore during Q2 of FY-24. This represents a YoY decrease of 5.26% in the company’s quarterly revenue from this segment.

Global Services Business: Sterlite Tech’s Global services business deals with OFC network deployment and ‘end-to-end’ system integration.

Sterlite Technologies earned a revenue of Rs. 356 crore from its Global Services business during Q2 of FY-25, representing a YoY decrease of 5.07% from Rs. 375 crore crore logged from this segment for Q2 of FY-24.

Digital and Technology Solutions: STL’s Digital and technology solutions segment provides technology solutions to telecom companies.

Digital and Technology Solutions segment of the company contributed Rs. 64 crore in the company’s total revenue during Q2 of FY-25 against Rs. 78 crore during Q2 of FY-24. These numbers represent a decrease of 17.95% in the company’s segmental revenue.

Sterlite Technologies’ Order Book

Sterlite Technologies’ order book stood at Rs. 8,630 crore as of Q2 of FY-25 against Rs. 9,883 crore order book as of Q1 of FY-25. Mr. Tushar Shroff, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of STL said “…our order book is well diversified across the customer segment and all our businesses”.
